Why Choose Crabtree Valley Dental for Restorative Dentistry
We are an amalgam free practice.
State of the art materials like Surefil Composite Technology.
All of our Doctors have 10+ years of experience.
Raleigh’s Crabtree Valley Dental is committed to the philosophy of Restorative Dentistry, which is the concept of reproducing or repairing teeth and adjoining bones and tissue, through the use of metal and ceramic materials. The goal is to make use of the full array of treatment options available to us to restore the dental health and functionality of our patients.
In addition to solutions such as dentures, dental implants, crowns, bridges, our dentists are able to offer dental implants as a treatment option. With implants, artificial teeth are surgically anchored to the jawbone in the area just below the gumline. Onlays and veneers address the appearance of the “new tooth.” Over time, the human body completes the process, by growing bone and gum matter around the tooth. This provides the artificial implanted tooth with even more stability and permanence.
When successfully applied, restorative dentistry returns the tooth or the space where one previously occupied to as close to its original condition as possible. It provides patients with optimal health, function and cosmetic appearance.
At Crabtree Valley Dental in Raleigh, the combination of our experienced, skilled dentists and our in-house lab provides us with an unsurpassed ability to address the restorative needs of our patients.
Whenever the time comes for you, a family member or friend to explore advanced dental treatment options, including restorative dentistry, please contact Raleigh’s Crabtree Valley Dental, at 919-783-8887.
Adult and Children Fillings
At Crabtree Valley Dental, we find that tooth-colored fillings are becoming more and more popular among children and adults. They are a great option for patients who desire fillings that are beautiful and virtually undetectable.
Tooth colored fillings are made from composite resin that makes it possible for us to match the color of your teeth. Another benefit of these types of fillings is that they require less of the healthy part of the tooth to be removed because the resin is able to actually bond to teeth. After the decayed part of the tooth is removed, the tooth is kept dry while an adhesive and several thin layers of composite are applied. Hardening the filling takes only a minute and is done with a curing light or laser.
We strongly recommend these tooth-colored composite fillings for small cavities and teeth that are prominent and visible. However, if the tooth has experienced significant decay or is in a position that is consistently used for chewing or biting, we may discuss and advise a different type of restoration.
If you have cavities or need to replace some of your old silver fillings we’ll be happy to discuss all your options and help you arrive at the solution that works best for you.
